A Knuckle Chopper and a cold beer. No wonder Marco is smiling. Oh and he's watching his girl Neke on a WL Chop too. Check the next issue of This is Now Magazine for more.
All you have to do is listen to Harry's stories and you'll have one hell of à time! And his machine is another strange mix we've got for you. Matchless, WL, Triumph, Shovel? Piece of art!
It's Erik's Shovelhead in Knuckle frame. Is that a Shuckle, a Knovel, a Fruckle or a Frovel? No, it's a cool Chopper baby, that's what it is! More in the Januari issue. Out Januari 31!
Confirmed!! Road Crew will be performing with their loud Rock and Roll at the release-party!! That makes: Cheap Beer, Cheap Soda-pops and ROCK AND ROLL!! (Cheap women are too expensive, sorry)
It's on! Pretty sure this is the first Chopper party of the year! We're gonna release the fourth issue of This is Now! with cheap Beers & Soda Pops at Wing Palace in Uden, the Netherlands. See y'all!
I've been posting more on Facebook then on the blog and I'm sorry for this. I'll try to make this up to y'all who check the blog every now and then. But on the last day of this year I want to wish all of you the very best for 2015!
Wednesday was rather strange. I built my chopper years ago and never, ever took it to a shop for any repairs. Always did it myself, and with the help of my friends. In my garage, in their garage or hey, at the side of the road. The last time though it became kind of a pain in the ass, and the lack of time and eventually the lack of motivation resulted in a lot of overdue maintenance and repairs. So, as I said, it was rather strange to taken it to a shop for the first time and leave it there. Shop of choice is Short Cut Choppers in Ede, the Netherlands. Tjeerd has been building cool choppers for a long time and we know each other for some years now. So there's my trusty Shovel, which hasn't been that trusty lately. Good luck Tjeerd, give 'm hell!
An unusual sight. But Harry did it. He entered the graveyard, turned his back, and walked away. That's the spirit! His bike is rather special, apart from the fact everything is hand made. It's the engine that will make you go bananas. Half Harley, half Matchless! Thanks for a nice afternoon, an unusual sweet snack and your everlasting great stories! Once you met Harry, you'll never forget him! Proud to call you a friend man!
Oh shit!! It started again!! Took a small break, but today was the day we began Issue 4!! And have we got some bikes coming for it!! A massive, impressive amount of Knuckleheadz, Shovels, Hondas, Panheads and....... Jessey's superb Triumph!!
Next weekend is a Chopper stuffed weekend. The weather is gonna be on our side so my buddies and me will swarm all over Europe to go to the best Chopper meetings. Meeting of choice for 'This is Now!' magazine will be the 'Choppertown Sideshow' in Kaldenkirchen, Germany. A great daytime event with booths, live music, burlesque acts and guess what!! YOU CAN WIN A TRIP TO THE NEW YORK INVITATIONAL BIKE SHOW!!!!! Special guests of the meeting will be Paul Cox and Keino Sasaki and YOU CAN WIN A TRIP TO NEW YORK!!! Said this before didn't I? However, the 'This is Now!' booth will be in the Fahrstrasse, near the corner to the Venloer Strasse and we invite you all to park your Chopper near our booth. First ten who will get a 'It's a Chopper Babe' patch for free, al the rest will have one hell of a day. And yes, your chopper will collaborate in 'the best chopper of show' contest when it's parked here. Hope to see y'all september the 6th! starts at about 2 PM.
We are proud to announce that we are an official sponsor and supporter of the 1000 hills run this year! And hey, Cross+eyed And Banished is performing!!!
I can't get Mr. Magic's Nor-Cal Chopper, as featured in the last issue of 'This is Now!', out of my head. I keep on seeing pink waves and girlie hair in the wind..... great state of mind!
Last weekend Rogues MC Opmeer celebrated their 35th anniversary and asked me to shoot some portraits of the guests. Something I never did before, but hey...... I love to! With Motorcycle clubs coming over from all over the globe the crowd was as colorful as they come. It was a tough ride because shooting portraits with artificial light seems something completely different than shooting choppers in bright daylight. Nevertheless I took some great, rough looking and atmospheric photos of some great peoples! Here's Wolf (Deathtraps MC, California), Etter (Rogues MC, Opmeer) and Jonathan (Deathtraps MC) in a post from the Rogues MC Blog of today. And now I have to sort out more than 2000 pictures.........
